The Government
has recently changed the law concerning public entertainment and there
is a new requirement for venues to have a Public Entertainments Licence
[PEL].
Please will you confirm whether the venue has a PEL;
if you are not sure, contact the hall bookings secretary. More details

Does the hall
have a sound limiter that cuts the power to the stage if the level is
above the threshold for around 20 seconds ? |

Are there trip
switches on the electrical supply ?
If so do you know where the reset switches are ?
If they are in a cupboard, will the cupboard be open during the event?
Note that this can bring the dance to a standstill for at least half an hour if this is not clarified beforehand |

Is there a well-lit stage available for the band ?
