Band CheckList

Here is a checklist that will help you to make a success of your event (see also Hall Checklist):

No

Topic/Item

1

Is there easy access for the band to bring their kit in ?
If there is a stage, is there access near to the stage ?
This will avoid disruption with the band bringing their kit through the hall while you are organising things within the hall.

2

Will there be parking for the band at the access point (3 cars)

3

The band needs at least one hour before and one hour after the event for set-up and take down time.
Have you allowed for this when booking the venue and arranging for keyholders to be present ?

4

The band will need two 13 amp sockets near to where they are to play
Note :   An Earth leakage trip is required if the band is to play in a Barn, a Marquee or in the open. (Do you know where the location for the reset is)

5

If a generator is used for the electrical supply it MUST be properly earthed

6

If there is any problem with the electrical supply [reversed/no earth] the band will not perform until this is rectified.
If in any doubt consult a qualified electrician.

7

Is there a small table on the stage ? or can one be provided?

8

Is there a small temporary floor ? Get it shifted – liability

9

Are there 5 seats for the musicians     [note there should be no arms on these chairs]

SOME NICE TO DOs [not compulsory but nice to do]

10

Will the band be provided with drinks ?

11

If there is an interval for refreshments, are the band included  ?

12

If there is food at the interval and the band are invited, can they be fed early ?
Note :   This avoids delay in the restart after the break

Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
